Life in all its fullness is mother nature obeyed.
– Weston A. Price
The Weston A. Price Foundation is a non-profit organization which provides education about traditional food, farming and healing. They have a huge catalog of health information on their website, through their Wise Traditions podcast, and in their quarterly journals that you will receive if you become a member.
Who was Weston A. Price?
The foundation was inspired by the work of Weston A. Price, a dentist in the early 20th century who wanted to know why his patients were becoming increasingly sick and their teeth increasingly diseased after industrialized foods were introduced. He traveled the world researching traditional cultures and found the keys of health in the traditional foods and preparation techniques they used. His findings can be found in his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration

Chapter Meetings
The volunteer leaders of the Greene County Chapter hold free chapter meetings to further educate about ways to apply the Weston A. Price principles to your home. We meet four times a year for a seasonal potluck, and on occasion we will have a field trip, farm tour or guest speaker.
We meet at:
Carter’s Station Church
1150 Albany Rd.
Greeneville, TN 37743
From 3:30pm – 5:00pm
Feel free to print out this schedule and show up when you can! We’d love to see you at a meeting.
Social Media – Because we are committed to building a local in-person community, our chapter does not have a social media presence. However, once you have come to a meeting, we do have a Band group which you can join for the most up to date details on meetings and cancelations.
Otherwise, you can check the Weston A. Price Foundation website for their social media.
Potluck Dish Ideas
Each of our meetings is also a potluck. We ask that you bring a dish to pass when you attend.
Recipe Ideas:
– Any recipe from Nourishing Traditions (book by Sally Fallon)
– WAPF Recipe of the Week
– Past dishes have included: charcuterie meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, crockpot chili, beef/gravy, meatballs, soups, salads, kraut, fresh veggies, roasted veggies, sourdough bread, raw milk, fermented foods, apple crisp, kefir cookies, raw milk ice cream, and fruits.
Ingredients:
While we don’t expect perfection (we are all still learning here), the whole purpose of WAPF is to use the most nutrient dense foods possible. For this reason, please pay close attention to the ingredients you use. Make sure ingredients are whole foods only (no processed foods). Also, use produce that has not been sprayed, grass fed meats, and raw dairy when possible.

Local Food Resources List
Finding local food resources that offer high quality, nutrient dense foods, is important for the health of any family. To the left, you will find a free resource list of farms in Greene County, TN that offer products consistent with a traditional diet, to the qualifications of the Weston A. Price Foundation.
Please note this list is ever changing and evolving, and may be different next month. Also, it is your responsibility as the consumer to make sure any products you use are up to your standards. We can not know the ever evolving practices of each farm on the list at all times. It is your responsibility to contact them and makes sure you are comfortable with their farm practices or product ingredients.
We hope this will give you a jumping off point to have a closer relationship with your food and farmer.
