Acorn Trail

Ages: Best for 7+
Bring: Nature Journals

Receive a guided tour of our phenology walk trail, complete with 12 stops along our creek and surrounding area, for students to observe.  A phenology walk is a way for us to understand the clock God made for us, through the seasons and cycles of nature.  As the seasons change, so does this walk.  Students will learn how to observe nature’s changes to tell the seasons and understand the rhythm of God’s Creation & Design.

Subjects Covered:

  • Life Science (Phenology, Biology)
  • Social Studies (TN Native Flora & Fauna)
  • Language Arts (Handwriting, Summarizing)

This walk can be done seasonally or monthly to give a complete view of a full phenology cycle.  If you purchase a season or month pass as part of your Life Sciences curriculum, a phenology wheel activity will be included for each student to fill out.
