In Harmony Kids resources were created specifically for homeschooling families. We do not take a “one size fits all” approach, nor do we try to fit a philosophy created for public (or private) school into a home setting. Instead, every detail has been carefully chosen to give freedom to each family, so they can create the best homeschooling experience for their children.
Since we all learn differently and exhibit different strengths and weaknesses, using multiple teaching tools is incredibly beneficial. For this reason, our educational products include several ways to learn. You can choose to use them all, or pick the ones best suited for your family.
The In Harmony Kids educational philosophy has been developing for the last 30 years, while our founder (Stephanie Aberlich) has been working with thousands of children as a caretaker, educator, and homeschooling mother.
For the first 20 years, she spent time in mainstream education and child rearing, where she constantly fought against the culture of turning children into worldly conformist workers. Since becoming a mother, her resolve to help parents free their children from the anti-God educational establishment has grown exponentially.
Therefore, all of the educational materials offered are first and foremost derived from her personal real life experiences with a large variety of children. Her philosophy focuses on the long term goal of supporting every parents wish – creating children (and families) who are whole, thriving & free.
What’s the Purpose of Education?
As far as we are concerned, the ultimate purpose of education is learning how to live a fulfilling life, which starts with the strengthening of the family unit.
We are not interested in education as a way of guiding children toward climbing the corporate ladder, being defined by material possessions, or encouraging inflated egos. We look at education as a tool for seeking Truth, the personal development of the entire family, and ultimately the betterment of the generations to come. Knowledge may be power, but Truth is freedom, and teaching Truth is our goal.
We find value in many different educational philosophies, but absolutely reject the idea that there is one “right” system of education for all people. (This sounds ridiculous to us, as we are each unique creations of God.) Instead, our products cover a multitude of subjects through a variety of means, so you can find what best suits your family values and goals.

What’s the Role of Parents?
We firmly believe no government system can replicate or replace committed and loving parents. In our philosophy, parents are of incredible importance. We believe God has given parents the awesome responsibility of guiding their children, and we want to support parents who feel called and able to do so.
When parents are humbly committed to their own learning, as well as the calling of home education, we believe parents are the indisputable best teachers for their children, no matter the parent’s previous experience.
We believe the first step in home education is to take full responsibility. For this reason, we encourage parents to pay meticulous attention to their own motivations, as well as their children’s strengths, weaknesses, and interests. Our goal is then to provide parents with various resources which are well suited for each child, based on their observations.
How do Kids Learn Best?
Children (like adults) learn best when the topic they are learning about is developmentally appropriate, interesting to them, and presented in a way that matches their learning style. When children are immersed in their education, they will enjoy learning, remember more, and pursue additional knowledge on their own. Introducing subjects when each child is ready, and finding the way in which your child(ren) learn best, are incredibly important parts of our philosophy.
Unlike public school (and many homeschool) educational philosophies – where an emphasis is put on conforming children to the learning techniques, strategies, and time tables of “experts”, the In Harmony Kids philosophy aims to enhance the innate talents and abilities God has given each unique child. We are more concerned with teaching to the individual child, then creating students who all know (and can regurgitate) the exact same things.
